Hero’s CTO Arun Jaura steps down, Vikram Kasbekar to head R&D

Arun Jaura joined Hero MotoCorp in 2022 and played a crucial role in expanding the company’s portfolio.

Hero MotoCorp, in an official statement, has announced that Arun Jaura, the company’s CTO, has stepped down from his position. This will be effective from April 30, and the company has said that Jaura stepped down to pursue personal endeavours. The company also stated that Vikram Kasbekar will head the R&D for the company.

In a regulatory filing, Hero MotoCorp said, “During his tenure, the company successfully launched several products, significantly enhancing our product offerings to customers in both the Indian and global markets.”

Jaura joined Hero MotoCorp in 2022 and played a crucial role in expanding the company’s portfolio. In his resignation letter, Jaura stated, “I wish to pursue other opportunities outside the company. I truly value my experience in Hero, and I am grateful for the opportunities I have had to contribute to its success.”

Moving on to Vikram Kasbekar, in addition to his current role as the Head of Global Product Planning, he will also lead the R&D team. “An Executive Director on the HMCL Board, Vikram possesses extensive experience across R&D, product planning, and manufacturing operations. Vikram previously led this function and oversaw the smooth and successful transition from BS4 to BS6 emission standards,” added Hero MotoCorp.
