Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is visiting UAE and Qatar in order to deepen bilateral ties with the nations, has landed in Abu Dhabi. 

Upon his arrival, he met with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, popularly known as MBZ, and hugged him. He was also given the Guard of Honour. His arrival met with a lot of fervor and excitement among the Indian diaspora.

Why is PM Modi in the UAE?

Ahead of his trip to the UAE, Prime Minister Modi commended the Indian diaspora for their dedication to enhancing India’s global involvement. He expressed anticipation for joining the Indian community in the UAE at the upcoming Ahlan Modi event.

During his visit, he will hold talks with MBZ. He is also scheduled to address a gathering of global leaders at the World Government Summit in Dubai tomorrow. Additionally, he plans to engage in discussions with UAE Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid on the sidelines of the summit, aiming to bolster India’s multifaceted connections with Dubai through these talks.

A significant aspect of the Prime Minister’s agenda during this visit is the inauguration of the first Hindu Mandir in Abu Dhabi. Describing the BAPS temple as a lasting tribute to the shared values of harmony, peace, and tolerance between India and the UAE, he emphasized its importance.

Lastly, Prime Minister Modi will address the Indian Community at a special event in the UAE, rounding off his itinerary with this crucial engagement.
