Growing up surrounded by artifacts from India, Ekaterina Malysheva’s childhood was imbued with tales of adventure and cultural exchange. While she didn’t witness her grandfather’s space flight in 1984, his love for India and passion for exploration left a permanent mark on her upbringing.
According to Ekaterina, her grandfather Malysheva’s admiration for India was evident in the ornate wooden elephants, copper deities, and a miniature Taj Mahal adorning their home.
His stories of travels to the subcontinent, coupled with a deep appreciation for diverse cultures, instilled in Ekaterina a fascination with India from a young age.
