A SpiceJet Q400 aircraft on the Kandla-Mumbai route landed safely in Mumbai on Thursday after one of its outer wheels was found detached on the runway soon after take-off. The aircraft continued its scheduled journey and touched down without incident.

A SpiceJet spokesperson confirmed to ANI that the plane taxied to the terminal under its own power, with all passengers disembarking safely. “On September 12, an outer wheel of a SpiceJet Q400 aircraft operating from Kandla to Mumbai was found at the runway after take-off. The aircraft continued its journey to Mumbai and landed safely. Following a smooth landing, the aircraft taxied to the terminal under its own power, and all passengers disembarked normally,” the spokesperson said.

Airport staff in Kandla alerted authorities upon discovering the wheel. The incident is currently under review.
