In order to meet the strong demand during the peak holiday season, Australia’s national carrier, Qantas, has announced that it is adding flights from Bengaluru to Sydney.

The airline is all set to increase its flights from five a week to daily from mid-December 2024 to March 2025, adding over 12,000 seats between the two cities over the span of four months.

Qantas flights in India

The flights between Bengaluru and Sydney add to the airline’s service from Delhi to Melbourne. Between these two cities, Qantas flights operate three days a week.

For services in India, the airline uses its Airbus A330 aircraft, equipped with 27 Business Class suites arranged in a 1-2-1 configuration. Each suite offers direct aisle access and transforms into a lie-flat bed.

All Qantas international fares come with standard inclusions such as checked baggage allowance, complimentary food and beverages, and access to in-flight entertainment. The airline has also recently stated its plans to introduce ‘fast and free’ Wi-Fi across its global fleet, including the A330 aircraft, ensuring a bandwidth for fast and reliable internet connectivity for passengers. However, these services will be brought in on flights between Australia to India from next year.
