Air India Express is set to expand its network with new flights to Bangkok and Phuket in the coming months. Currently, the airline serves 14 international destinations, primarily in the Middle East, along with 35 domestic locations.
With a fleet of 90 aircraft operating over 400 flights daily, the airline is actively broadening its reach. A senior official confirmed plans to introduce services to the popular Thai destinations as part of their expansion strategy.
Expanding international reach
The airline already operates flights to various overseas cities, including Abu Dhabi, Doha, Dubai, Kuwait, and Singapore. A spokesperson indicated that the carrier aims to strengthen its presence in leisure travel and enhance routes serving the expatriate community.
Additionally, Air India Express announced new routes to Jammu and Sri Vijaya Puram (Port Blair) starting December 1.
XPress Holiday
In line with its growth initiatives, the airline has also launched ‘XPress Holidays,’ a platform on its website that allows passengers to book accommodation, transportation, and sightseeing activities alongside their flights. Recently, Air India Express completed the merger with AIX Connect (formerly AirAsia India). Its fleet comprises 61 Boeing 737s and 29 Airbus A320s.
