Aero India 2025 set for major upgrades: Key changes you can’t miss
Aero India 2025 promises significant upgrades in infrastructure, traffic management, and visitor experience. Key improvements include better security, enhanced exhibitor facilities, real-time connectivity solutions, and eco-friendly initiatives. Learn about the major changes at Aero India 2025 and what attendees can expect at the event.
The 15th edition of Aero India, Asia’s largest aerospace and defence exhibition, is set to take place in Bengaluru from February 10 to 14, 2025.
Ahead of Aero India 2025 (Feb 10-14, 2025), organizers have unveiled a range of upgrades designed to improve the experience for both visitors and exhibitors at Air Force Station Yelahanka.
From better infrastructure to enhanced security measures, here is a breakdown of what attendees can expect this year.
Improved Infrastructure and Traffic Flow
One of the primary changes for Aero India 2025 is the overhaul of the event is infrastructure. To address traffic congestion issues from previous years, the Ministry of Defence, Indian Air Force (IAF), and local authorities have worked together to widen approach roads and improve connectivity around Yelahanka. This includes real-time traffic monitoring, which will allow for dynamic route adjustments to ease congestion. In addition, free shuttle buses will run from key city locations to the venue, helping to manage visitor numbers and reduce road traffic.
Heightened Security
Security measures for Aero India 2025 have been significantly upgraded. In response to the evolving landscape of threats, the event will feature designated red drone zones, with countermeasures in place to prevent unauthorized drone activity. Rapid Mobile Units will be stationed at strategic locations across the venue to provide emergency support, and multiple mock drills are being conducted to ensure a swift response to potential security incidents.
Upgraded Visitor and Exhibitor Facilities
The exhibitor and visitor experience has been revamped for 2025. There are expanded, better-ventilated exhibition halls designed to accommodate more attendees, as well as enhanced seating and rest zones throughout the venue. Additional food courts and refreshment kiosks, including Indira Canteens, will be available in parking areas, with improved signage to help visitors navigate the site more easily. Other upgrades include ATM kiosks, lost-and-found counters, and increased medical facilities, such as multiple water points and dedicated cardiac aid posts.
Digital and Connectivity Infrastructure
Connectivity issues that have affected previous editions of the event are being addressed with the deployment of temporary mobile towers and network boosters to ensure uninterrupted communication across the venue. The newly launched Aero India 2025 mobile app will provide live event updates, real-time navigation assistance, and schedule information. In addition, provisions have been made for increased electricity supply to meet the demands of the event.
Airspace Management and Aircraft Demonstrations
Aero India 2025 will feature a series of aerial displays and aircraft movements, and to ensure safety, temporary flight restrictions will be in place around Air Force Station Yelahanka during scheduled demonstrations. Additionally, strategic aircraft parking and refuelling plans have been put in place to accommodate both domestic and international participants.
Focus on Innovation and Business Collaboration
The event will continue to facilitate B2B and G2B interactions, with special focus on promoting startups and small businesses. Roundtable discussions will give companies the chance to showcase new technologies and products in the aerospace and defence sectors.
Sustainability Efforts
In an effort to reduce the environmental impact of the event, several sustainability initiatives have been introduced. These include reducing vehicle movement on-site to limit pollution, the use of more than 100 electric karts to transport visitors around the venue, and enhanced waste management systems that include additional recycling bins and waste segregation zones.
