1The job: I enjoy what I do! As part of the technology industry in India for more than 25 years, I?ve been in the middle of all the action and excitement surrounding several of the far-reaching changes that this industry has experienced. My favourite part of the job is definitely meeting new people and understanding as well as including diverse perspectives on how we do business. Over the years, I have had the pleasure of working alongside some of the brightest minds in the business and that is truly invaluable learning.
Working hard, together, builds a sense of ownership and camaraderie in the team. My efforts are directed towards creating an environment that motivates the team to achieve goals and to have fun while we?re at it! In the process, we are setting new benchmarks and scaling new heights, inspiring us to do bigger and better things .
2The weekdays: As part of an exciting company that is unrelenting in what we do, time has definitely become a luxury. I believe in an early start and I am in office by 7:30 am except on days when I travel. NVIDIA has offices across the country and I stay connected with my team, our partners and customers by travelling to these locations as often as I can. While in Bangalore, I try to capitalise on the time spent on the road by speaking with my immediate team over the phone as we prioritise outcomes for the week ahead. I admit I try to squeeze sometime in the day for a quick workout as I believe in the adage mens sana in corpore sano (Latin for ?a healthy mind in a healthy body?).
3The weekend: Balancing work and life is a priority. With an around-the-clock work schedule, I unwind with a Sunday game of golf. It?s a great sport to network with like-minded individuals, some of whom I now count as dear friends! Weekends are also almost entirely devoted to my family. As a father of young children, I treasure the time I spend with them as I watch them grow into strong, independent individuals.
4The toys: Over the past year, the Google Nexus 7 has become an extension of me! It goes everywhere I do. I rely on my Nexus to stay connected with work. This device was designed with gaming in mind so I often find myself exploring thousands of apps and games online. Another feature of the device that I fully exploit during long international flights is the access to millions of e-books.
5The logos: One passion that has stayed with me over the years is to own high-end watches. My current favourite is the Omega that I sport on my wrist. Buying branded watches and designer clothes for that matter is an indulgence that I have allowed myself and I am proud of my collection.
