Sabina Aggarwal, a resident of Sector 21 in Chandigarh, has been booked by the Chandigarh Police in a case of forgery. The FIR against Sabina Aggarwal has been filed in the Sector-11 Police Station on a complaint of Onkar Singh. The complainant has a property dispute with the woman.
According to the case, Sabina Aggarwal had got admission to the Department of Laws, Panjab University, in 1986 under the quota for the physically handicapped. She had provided a disability certificate issued by Dr Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, New Delhi, and signed by ?Dr M S Singh, Assistant Professor of Ortho?.
On filing an RTI application with the Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, the complainant got a reply that on February 26, 2010, that there was no doctor by the name of Dr M S Singh in the hospital on May 20, 1986, the date given in the certificate. The hospital categorically stated that this was a fake certificate. The police were then approached and after investigation a case was registered.
