The Swiss Business Hub India (SBHI) in association with The Indus Entrepreneurs (TIE) held an interactive programme with entrepreneurs from this region yesterday evening.
Siamak Rouhani, Head of Economic and Commercial Section, Embassy of Switzerland and Michael Enderle, Consulate General of Switzerland, Swiss Business Hub India interacted with large number of entrepreneurs gathered on the occasion.
The two provided information about Swiss market, business opportunities, information about trade fairs and other promotional activities and advantages of doing business in Switzerland.
Siamak Rouhani informed that there were more than 200 companies from Switzerland that have invested in India and about 110 Indian companies that have set up units in that country. He told media persons that falling rupee had a negative effect on imports from Switzerland while exports from India had grown 12 per cent last year over previous year.
He described Switzerland as land of opportunities with fewer regulations and availability of funds at as low rate of interest as three per cent.
Sawatenter Kumar Khosla, Chief Representative India, BaselArea Economic Promotion and Pratap K Aggarwal, President TiE too interacted with entrepreneurs who evinced keen interest in fostering trade ties with Switzerland.
