Manufacturers of float glass and one of the leading glass processing companies in India that has successfully completed around 700 projects across India and the neighbouring countries has recently signed a JV with CGI International for supplying fire rated glass in India. CGI International (CGII) is a leading manufacturer and supplier of specialist glasses to the glazing markets. Sezal Glass and CGI International have formed a JV Company that is to be named as Sezal Firebaan Glass Pvt. Ltd for supplying Fire rated glass product that is branded as ?Pyroguard?.

As a part of our strategic growth initiative; this JV is our most recent foray with CGI International which will capture India?s growing market of fire rated products by standardizing and regularizing fire rated glass in Indian projects. We will now tap existent and potential demand for fire rated glass that meets international standards and can be used in various applications such as Fire Doors, Fire escape corridors in hotels, buildings, industrial applications, server rooms, data centers, shopping malls, commercial spaces, transportation etc.?
Commenting on the JV, Mr. David Joliffe, Managing Director of CGI International said, ?In addition to holding a substantial share of the fire glass market in the UK, CGI International enjoys a significant presence in many overseas markets. Pyroguard is a product that is well accepted and used in the defense and fire safety establishments across the world. The Pyroguard range of fire resisting glasses that will be introduced in India through this Joint Venture undergoes a patented manufacturing process that injects a special resin between layers of glass which operates as a fire resistant pane, with impact safety without a wire mesh. This process was perfected to produce Pyroguard in either 7mm thickness for 30 minute integrity and radiation control or 11mm for 60 minutes. ?
