Sebi has decided to re-allocate the unutilized debt investment limits which were allocated to the entities on June 20 and are not utilized by the entities by stipulated date, August 15, 2008.

Sebi said in a statement that the enhanced debt limits were allocated to the entities on June 20, 2008. ?After assessing the utilization of the same, the unutilized limits are being allocated to the entities in the waitlist?, the regulator said.

Sebi said that for the corporate debt, the debt limits are being allocated lower down in the list after allocation to the entities in the waitlist. As per the Sebi decision, if allocated limits are not utilized by the entities by August 15, 2008, the same shall be withdrawn and allocated to the entities lower down in the list of requests received by the regulator on June 17 this year.

In June, Sebi had said the Centre has reviewed the ECBpolicy.
