SAP India plans to add around 10,000 clients in small & medium enterprises (SMEs) in the next two years. In recent times, the company has been focusing on clusters of various SMEs with its SAP Business One enterprise resource planning (ERP) system.
At present, SAP India is targeting small companies into erection/commissioning of small power plants, tanneries, textile mills and retail chain outlets for growth in the country. The company has developed three ERP solutions based on the complexity of transactions involved in an organisation.
The big corporates are generally using its R-3 ERPs, lesser complex institutions are opting for A-One ERPs while Business One is for the SMEs.
According to SAP India national sales manager (SAP Business One) Yogesh Gupta, ?The cluster concept has a cost-cutting advantage (for the client) and is a way for us to move forward.? SAP?s Business One ERP will cost a small company, with Rs 100-crore annual turnover, around Rs 10-15 lakh on the whole solution, including software.
