SSC Stenographer exam result 2017: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) on Tuesday announced the Stenographer Grade C and D examination results on its official website. Candidates can visit ssc.nic.in to check their result. The commission had conducted the examination between September 11 and September 14, 2017. The exam for the post of stenographer was held for two hours duration. The exam carried was conducted for 200 marks. The question paper had 50 questions on General Intelligence and Reasoning carrying 50 marks, 50 questions on General Awareness carrying 50 marks and 100 questions on English Language and Comprehension. There were negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer. Moreover, SSC has released the tentative answer keys along with candidate’s individual response sheet of Stenographer Grade C and D examination 2017 on its official website on in the first week of October. Around 2,24,618 candidates appeared for the exam. A total of 8,469 and 15,004 candidates in order of their roll numbers have been declared provisionally qualified for appearing in skill tests for the post of Stenographer Grade ‘C’ and Stenographer Grade ‘D’, respectively, subject to their fulfilling all eligibility conditions.

Meanwhile, the commission had issued notification for Combined Higher Secondary Level (10+2) Examination, 2017 on Monday. As per SSC official website ssc.nic.in, Tier 1 exams (computer based) for a number of posts will be held between March 4-26 next year, while Tier 2 exams will be held in July. The number of posts that the commission has issued notification include of Lower Divisional Clerk / Junior Secretariat Assistant, Postal Assistant/ Sorting Assistant and Data Entry Operator. Vacancies for LDC/ JSA, Postal Assistant/ Sorting Assistant and DEO are 898, 2359, 2 and Data Entry Operator Grade “A”- Nil, respectively, the commission said on its website. The last date to apply online is December 18. Those candidates who are in the age group of 18-27 having 10+2 educational qualification are eligible to apply.
