Pharma major Piramal Helathcare reported 45 per cent jump in its consolidated net profit at Rs 106.27 crore for the second quarter ended September 30.
The pharma firm had a net profit of Rs 73.39 crore in the September quarter of last fiscal, Piramal Healthcare said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
Total income rose to Rs 999.99 crore during the July-September period of the current fiscal, from Rs 889.33 crore in the same quarter last year.
During the quarter, the consolidated revenue from pharmaceutical segment grew by 12 per cent to Rs 945.74 crore, while the revenue from other businesses rose by 22 per cent to Rs 54.91 crore.
On a standalone basis, Piramal Healthcare reported a net profit of Rs 114.22 crore, a 64.49 per cent growth over the same period last fiscal. The firm had a net profit of Rs 69.44 crore during the September quarter of last fiscal.
The standalone total income increased to Rs 711.59 crore during the second quarter, from Rs 636.9 crore in the same period last fiscal.
Shares of Piramal Healthcare were trading at Rs 358.70, down 6.47 per cent over previous close on the BSE.
