Reacting to recent reports about duplication of investigations in the multi-crore Satyam scam, minister of state for corporate Affairs Salman Khurshid on Thursday said that there is no duplication in the simultaneous investigations being done by Enforcement Directorate (ED) and Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
Khurshid, who was in Hyderabad to inaugurate ?India Investor Week 2010? organised by Federation of Andhra Pradesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FAPCCI), said that there are three kinds of violation in the multi-crore Satyam scam.
?The present investigations are not duplicating. It is complimenting and supplementing each other. While the ED is looking for any misuse of funds violating the financial legislation, the CBI is looking at IPC violation and corporate affairs ministry is looking for company law violations.?? He said the case is handled by the CBI and is being coordinated and supervised by the Solicitor General of India.
Asked if there would be a fourth chargesheet on the Satyam scamsters, he clarified that there would be no limits on the filing of chargesheets. ?As and when fresh evidences comes, it would be added. We have enough material for prosecution.?
