The job: I love my job because it?s a great mix of unleashing creativity on one hand while constantly improving business profitability on the other. So it’s a perfect mix of the left and the right brain. Add to that a culture where the bosses are encouraging and always giving you space to try the new, and it’s perfect. That greatly infuses me with the passion I have had for the 12 years that I have been with ITC! I thrive on challenges, on tight and non-negotiable time lines, and, on pushing the limits of everything that is normally considered routine. So I hate it when I have to work with people who don?t share a similar enthusiasm.

The weekdays: I am not what would be considered an early morning person – I actually get better as the day moves along, being the best as evening turns late and melts into the night! But I do try and spend as much time with my two-and-half-year-old daughter before I hit office. And that?s when the day changes gears. Project reviews, cross-functional team meetings, responding to various mails/to-dos takes me into lunch. Post-lunch is when I earmark self time ? the time when I am working on new ideas, new projects, new products and number analysis. Evenings are about getting out of the self-imposed exile and getting back into team meetings and interactions. I don?t like carrying work back home as I seriously feel that when at home, my time belongs to my wife, daughter and my lovely golden retriever! On as many days as I can, I try and put my daughter to bed. I can?t say that happens often enough, but hey, I am improving every week!.

The weekend: Weekends are for lazying and indulging oneself. I love cooking, so that happens. I love driving, so that happens too. I catch up with my weekly dose of car and gadget shows on TV. Evenings are usually out at the club – running away with my little daughter, exploring flower beds! Then there is some playtime with my golden retriever, nursing my single malt and finally off to bed, hardly being able to wait for the week that begins next morning

The toys: I have a BlackBerry which I still love, an iPad which is an unimportant must-have and a Samsung Note II which is my most versatile travel companion, the latter being extremely important as I am travelling 15 days a month!

The logos: I love the Classmate logo and not just because it’s one of my brands. I love Audi and Honda as well. The Brio is my personal favourite. It’s a free-spirited and absolutely delightful city car. Sony is another favourite brand and I own many of its products as well. I love ties, watches, cuff-links and jackets too. But my day is incomplete without my Levi’s denims that I wear everyday to work and beyond, and which I think are an inseparable part of me!
