One of the upcoming mobile brands in the Indian market, Lava Mobiles has launched a set of mobile phones, which promises to make its own place amidst highly popular business phone league, christened LAVA B8. The Lava B8 model that we received at our desk, was a stunning black handset with smart Qwerty keypad. The handset comes with headphones, USB cable and a manual. If we move to the features of the phone, the dual SIM phone has an excellent responsive trackpad for navigation through the menu and clearly crafted keypad. The full Qwerty keypad enables quick messaging and typing of mails because it has nicely placed keys. The smooth metallic exterior offers a delight to the user while its usage and a stylish gadget to hook up with as well.

Shifting attention from the swish design to the applications in the phone, one will find a treat as the handset is pre-loaded with Nimbuzz, Pedometer, SNAPTU and many more. The phone also offers access to social network sites like Facebook, Twitter, Orkut etc and supports WiFi-WLAN connectivity along with with inbuilt Nimbuzz and other social networking engines. Moreover, the Java enabled phone has lot many other options like a good-to-listen-to music player and a video player along with a comfortable headphones. Other features include 3.2 megapixel camera, which captures but does not offer very good quality images that could be a turn-off for those who look for natty multimedia features.

Further, the phone has not so impressive interfaces like any other competent business phones and looks more like a normal multimedia phone. Some calls were made from the phone, which went smooth but witnessed distortion in voice at many a times. However, the phone stands high on battery back up, a fully charged Lava B8 worked fine for almost 4 days, and also worked fine with little battery as well. At a personal usage front, the phone is capable of offering a battery backup of 5 days at a go, owing to its 1400 mAh battery.
