In a major public-private partnership initiative in secondary education in Uttar Pradesh, the Mayawati government has joined hands with Intel Corporation to promote computer literacy in the state.
Announcing the launch of its World Ahead Program, Intel Corporation, launched its pilot project on imparting computer training to teachers of all 5,000 government as well as government-aided schools in Lucknow and Allahabad districts.
The aim of project is to empower teachers with the knowledge of applying technology in education. For this, the company has initially donated 50 PCs and the first batch of training is scheduled to begin on November 10.
Rahul Bedi, director corporate affairs, Intel, South Asia told FE, ?We want to create an environment where students will find learning easier and interesting with a technology-aided curriculum.?
