With a view to boost trade in commodities with the African continent, the Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) in collaboration with Exim Bank is slated to host the three-day 4th India-Africa Partnership Conclave in Delhi beginning from March 19.

“Indian investors have their presence in eastern part of the continent and in South Africa. Our aim is have Indian presence in the whole of the African continent. The partnership conclave will have 525 delegates from 33 African countries, including 37 ministers and two vice-presidents. We also expect about 400 delegated from India”, said Tarn Das of CII.

Das said that many African countries look upon India for development of their agriculture. Indian companies like Kriloskar and other agri machinery companies can explore this unique opportunity for investment, he said. He said that this conclave would also provide an unique opportunity for export of Indian food and agro products to African countries as many of them were net food importing countries.
