1 The job: 1.My job gives me a chance to work through the entire spectrum of entertainment ? from movies to television to devices. In my present role, every day is a new day with a new challenge. Innovation is the crux of our brand and increasing the ?relevance of quality sound? is a challenging task.?
I am yet to come across any reason to hate anything about my job. It is important to be positive all the time. As the famous saying goes, ?Optimism is the faith that leads to achievement?.
2 The weekdays: Though my work hours are from 8.30 am to 6.00 pm, many times I start my day even earlier. At least twice a week I have to attend global calls early morning. There are also days when I end my day later than the usual working hours. Dolby India is a small team and the nature of our work requires every individual to work very closely on a number of projects simultaneously. The working environment is great and extremely positive. I have enough empowerment to do what I think is right for the business which brings in the right level of ownership and accountability of what I do day in and day out. After office, I look forward to spending time with family. I try devoting as much time as possible to them on a daily basis. I take a lot of interest in the homework my children get in school. Spending time with my kids relaxes me in a way nothing can.
3 The weekend: Weekends are reserved strictly for family. I try to spend as much time as possible with family, look at the children?s school work, take them for an outing and catch up with friends or relatives. I like to maintain an active social life, especially on weekends. I try not to look at e-mails, but most of the time I end up doing that!
4 The toys: Being a gadget lover, I am always looking out for new tech toys. Right now I am hooked on to the new Nokia PureView 808 with Dolby Digital Plus. Being an audiophile, I always carry a pair of Sennheiser headphones with me. I am looking forward to owning the new Macbook Pro.
5 The logos: As I started my career with LG, I am still most loyal to LG as a brand. I have eight different gadgets from LG in my house. As for clothing, I am not at all particular about brands. I like my clothes to be comfortable, be it any brand. When it comes to sound, I want everything Dolby, not because I work there, because it actually is the best!
