Hyundai Construction Equipment India Pvt Ltd, a leading manufacturer of heavy machinery and equipments for construction industry, has chalked out a plan to expand its footprints in the northern states of India.

Taking a step closer towards the goal, the South Korean major recently inaugurated its northern regional office at New Delhi. The Delhi office will cater services to Punjab, J&K, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and NCR.

Speaking on the occasion, J S Kim, managing director, Hyundai Construction Equipment India Pvt. Ltd., said, ?The northern regional office will prove as a stepping stone towards company?s goal to become a market leader in entire Northern India.”

?During the last one year, in spite of adverse situations, we have successfully achieved several milestones like setting up a state of the art factory, developing the organisation with the best talent available, developing a strong distribution network across the country and rolling out its 20T excavator by August 2008″. He reinstated that Hyundai is considering India as a strategic market where investment planning has been made to realise long-term vision with respect to construction equipment.

So far Hyundai has appointed 17 dealer partners all over India, out of them 5 are from the Northern region? 1 for J&K, 1 for Punjab, Himachal Pradesh & Haryana, 1 for Delhi, and 2 for Rajasthan. ?We are also looking for suitable dealers for our business in Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh?, informed Suvendu Moitra, marketing head Hyundai Construction.

He also announced Hyundai Pune had the capacity to scale up its production up to 10,000 units per annum & this will help to position Hyundai amongst the top construction equipment manufacturing company in near future. He emphasised on the features of Hyundai excavators like fuel economy, competitive machine & spare parts price, higher productivity and higher component life.
