The Wadia Group-promoted budget airline GoAir has ordered 72 Airbus A-320 NEO (new engine option) planes worth $7.2 billion (R32,400 crore). The airline will fund the purchase through a mix of equity and debt. The aircraft, costing $100 million apiece, will be delivered over the next five years. Currently, GoAir has a fleet of 10 planes, with orders for another 10. With the latest order, the airline will have 92 aircraft by 2020.
