Select edible oils hardened on the wholesale oils and oilseeds market on Friday owing to fresh demand from millers and local parties.

Elsewhere, other edible and non-edible oils continued to be traded in a limited range on some deals.

Marketmen said reports of some major deals in select edibles mainly pushed up the prices to some extent.

Mustard expeller oil moved up by Rs 30 to finish at Rs

5,080 per quintal on fresh buying interest.

Sesame mill delivery oils gained by Rs 50 to conclude at Rs 5050 a quintal on restricted supply.

Soyabean degum oils prices also quoted higher by Rs 25 at Rs 4925 a quintal on better offtake.

Following were today’s quotations in Rs per quintal:

Oilseeds: mustardseed 2000-2150 and cottonseed not available.

Vanaspati ghee (15 litres tin) 800-900.

Edible oils: Groundnut mill delivery 7,800, Groundnut

Solvent refined (per tin) 1350-1370, Mustard Expeller 5080, Mustard Pakki ghani (per tin) 760-780, Mustard kachi ghani (per tin) 805-920, Sunflower 4,030, Sesame mill delivery 5,050, Soyabean Refined mill delivery 5150, Soyabean degum (Delhi) 4,925, Crude Palm Oil (Ex-kandla) 4,240, Cottonseed mill delivery 5,000, palmoline (RBD) 5,000, Rice bran (phy) 4,400 and coconut (per tin) 850-860.

Non-edible oils: linseed 4600 Mahuwa 4200, castor

4400-4500, Neem 3350-3500, Rice bran 3670-3720 and palm fatty 3150-3200.

Oil cakes: groundnut dehusk 770-820, Sesame 900-1100, Mustard 670-680 and Cottonseed 850-1000.
