Trends in the Indian industry today are a reflection of a desire to experiment and present our music to audiences in a better package of innovation and technology. A lot of today?s musicians are developing and innovating their sounds to take our music to world audiences. Also, there are a lot of interesting collaborations between Indian and Western musicians, which is a positive sign. There is a lot more exposure for Indian artistes and Indian music has been the mainstay in many world music projects for long. It surely is a great time for Indian artistes.
Having seen how things work at gigs while performing with various international artistes, I feel the latest equipment is available in India. We are definitely on a par with any other country in terms of technology. And this only helps us in our endeavour to experiment and deliver new sounds.
