Chana prices traded marginally higher by Rs 3 to Rs 2,852 per quintal in futures trade on Thursday on pick-up in demand in the spot market.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, chana for delivery in November traded higher by Rs 3, or 0.11 per cent, to Rs 2,852 per quintal, with an open interest of 2,840 lots.
Similarly, the commodity for delivery in October inched up by Rs 2, or 0.07 per cent, to Rs 2,793 per quintal, with a trade volume of 3,200 lots.
Market analysts said pick-up in demand in the spot market helped chana futures price to trade higher.
