Logitech UE Mobile Boombox
This is an upgrade of Logitech?s well known Mini Boombox which they launched last year. Now, under its Ultimate Ears brand, Logitech has put out a sequel to that product, the UE Mobile Boombox. While the earlier Mini Boombox had touch-sensitive buttons on the top of speaker and a glossy exterior, the Mobile Boombox has a rubberised, more rugged casing, and standard buttons on the top of the device. It has much improved sound and design than its old model. Also, there is no vibration in high volume which you might have noticed in Mini Boombox. Sound wise, it performed well till the mid-range, but not that clearly in high volume level. There is a micro-USB port for charging the unit, the speaker has around 40 feet coverage area and its battery life is for close to nine hours.
Creative Airwave
The main USP of this portable speaker is that it also has near-field communication (NFC) with Bluetooth, which is an added advantage for its connectivity feature. The unit is heavy and bigger in size compared to other speakers. It has a micro USB socket which you can use to charge/power the device. There is also a 3.5 mm Aux In port if your source is not Bluetooth enabled. There is also a small Bass port too. Above the sockets, you have the area where you ?tap? the phone to enable the NFC pairing. It has about eight hours of battery life.
Rapoo A3060
Though this is a much less known brand for speakers, we didn?t expect much from this model until we paired it with our smartphone. And we were surprised with its features, build quality and design. Design wise, the Rapoo A3060 looks like a mini metal cylindrical can with a capacitive control buttons on the top for pairing, volume level and track change control and call receive. Lookwise, it is very small, elegant and classy. The metal body is quite solid and the speaker sits firmly wherever you place it. The Rapoo A3060 uses the Bluetooth 4.0 specifications; there is a built-in rechargeable battery which lasts a good five hours, and it charges via a microUSB port. At the base, you have the On-Off switch, the micro-USB charging port, and the LED indicator light. Overall, the speaker looks perfect around your desktop area and its compact and pocket-sized design allows you to carry it around all the time.
