Life?s been never so good! Technology has changed the way Homo sapiens communicate or interact and emote. The amalgamation of technology with our social life has impacted the evolution of new gadgets and gizmos.
The arsenal of personal tech-gadgetry has become very overwhelming. The device that leads this never-ending list of gadgets is the mobile phone. The latest is the ability to keep you ?always on? over the Internet to the social networking sites.
One such mobile phone that has social networking, email and instant messaging at the very heart is iNQ Chat 3G (pronounced as ?ink?). With 3G connectivity round the corner, the ?Hutchison Whampoa?, with its office in London has brought their latest iNQ Chat 3G, riding piggyback on Aircel to provide the Indian consumers an unrivalled social mobile experience at an affordable price.
At first glance, this ?socially active wonder? looks like a sibling to the legendry ?Blackberry Curve?, but the red rimmed circular D-pad and red-triangles on the number keys clears the mix-up. The keypad is bevelled and at places (specially the larger keys) looks bloated and overkill. Nevertheless, they are usable and responsive. The glossy piano black fascia has a very crisp and bright TFT display panel (262k colours and 320 X 240 pixel resolution). A chrome beading all around the sides of the 114.5mm X 61mm X 12.8 mm chassis bifurcates the sober top and the rather jazzy and colourful (yellow or red) rear panel.
The well-contoured and interchangeable rear panel has a lens for the camera and perforated opening for the multimedia speaker. The lone mini USB port on the left panel serves for all the connectivity options, including charging and hands-free.
The 3.2mega pixel camera is just functional, but good enough for uploading photos/videos on the Face book and chatting.
Powered by Qualcomm (QSC6270) chipset and a 1500mAh Li-Polymer battery the multi-tasking ?iNQ? provide one click to switch between fully integrated applications including Face book, Skype, Twitter, Windows Messenger and Last.fm through out the day.
Navigation through the switcher key and menu carousel?along with instant information provided by the home screen, colourful widgets and the integrated phonebook?is rather intuitive and easy.
The ?Hutchison Whampoa? introduced iNQ Chat 3G in collaboration with Aircel as part of a two-fold 3G strategy: one, to maximise the user experience of high-speed wireless broadband and second, an affordable devices with innovative flat rate data plan service.
The phone may be used with other service providers? SIM, but sans the integrated one-touch social networking applications.
The ?iNQ Chat 3G? handset comes preloaded with HSDPA modem drivers for both PC and Mac and designed to double as a plug and play USB dongle to access wireless broadband Internet on any desktop or notebook.
