Allied Computers International (ACI), Asia limited, has become the first laptop specialist company in the country to get listed on BSE. A NRI promoter, Hirji Kanji Patel, an ex-missile scientist from UK, incorporated ACI in India in May, 2002. The company has successfully launched advanced laptops at competitive prices for which ACI has collected over 50 industry awards for best value, best quality and best performance awards.
ACI’s historical launches of award winning sub-Rs 30,000 laptops in 2004 and sub-Rs 20,000 laptops in 2006 have resulted in a rapid growth of the company over last five years despite its limited regions of operation allowed for by the restricted cash reserves.
“I look forward to fulfil my dream of developing India as an IT and laptop nation starting by donating PCs to the deprived schools of India and making laptops affordable to every man in the country in the year come. I will continue to cater to technical and ergonomical needs of all laptops users throughout the country. The prices of laptops may come down further in 2008,” said Hirji Patel.
The IPO has now opened the financial gates for this industry’s unique research-based company which can now look towards a country-wide operation offering unmatchable after-sales service and best quality low value laptops amongst other price breaking products in months to come.
