In September, the gross GST collections reached Rs 1.89 lakh crore, a 9.1% increase from the previous year. However, the net receipts grew at a slower pace of 5% due to a 40% rise in refunds. This is the ninth consecutive month with revenues above Rs 1.8 lakh crore. The GST rate cut and festive demand are expected to maintain a positive trajectory for future collections.
