The Shinkansen E5 bullet train series comes under the East Japan Railway Company. The exterior and interior of the bullet train that will run in India may differ a bit, based on Indian requirements.

The seating capacity of the bullet train would be around 750 passengers and will later be increased to 1,250, once more coaches are added.

The bullet train will have two types of coaches – economy-class and executive class. As is evident from the image, the economy class coach will have a 3+2 seating configuration.

The executive class on the other hand will have more comfortable cushioned seats with backrest as well. The executive class will have a 2+2 seating configuration.

India's first bullet train between Mumbai and Ahmedabad will have 10 coaches in total. Later, Indian Railways plans to increase this to 16.
India's first bullet train will cover a distance of 508 kilometres, with 12 stations in total, including Mumbai and Ahmedabad. The train, travelling at an operating speed of 320 kmph, will complete a journey between the two financial hubs (stopping at Surat and Vadodara) in just 2 hours and 7 minutes, as against the present 7 hours. <br /><br /> However, if the bullet train stops at all stations (Mumbai, Thane, Virar, Boisar, Vapi, Bilimora, Surat, Bharuch, Vadodara, Anand, Ahmedabad and Sabarmati), it will take 2 hours and 58 minutes. -
The bullet train will also offer special facilities for Divyang passengers, says Indian Railways.

Initially, 35 bullet trains will be operated. By 2053 this number is likely to go up to 105. According to IANS, 24 bullet trains will be imported from Japan, while the rest are likely to be made in India.
