Fan box office collections: Shahrukh Khan starrer's opening day collection soared to a whopping Rs 19.20 crore (day 1) in India alone. While the megastar has grabbed eyeballs with his latest release and everyone is all praise for it and movie reviews are giving excellent ratings of over 3.5+, the movie itself has raced up the actor's personal top hits chart to slot in at the 4th highest spot with collections of Rs. 19.20 cr. Happy New Year (2014): At the top, No. 1 spot, of Shahrukh Khan's personal top hit charts is Happy New Year with an opening day collection of Rs 44.97 crore – it was released on 24-Oct-2014. Happy New Year was a multi-starrer and, in a nutshell, was a film about underdogs (referred to as 'losers') and their quest to pull off the biggest diamond theft ever. Chennai Express (2013): At No. 2 spot is Shahrukh Khan's Chennai Express that also starred Deepika Padukone. Chennai Express box office collections on opening day were Rs 33.12 cr – it was released on 09-Aug-2013. This year, the season of biggies commenced from Eid with the global release of Chennai Express. Four formidable entities involved in the film, Shahrukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Rohit Shetty and UTV translated to an unbeatable combination. The timing of the release couldn't have been better either. Dilwale (2015): At No. 3 spot is Shahrukh Khan's very popular movie Dilwale which starred Kajol and was a throwback to the once mega hit Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenga (it was released exactly 20 years ago). Shahrukh Khan milked the nostalgia factor to its fullest – the film released on 18-Dec-2015. Dilwale box office collections were as high as Rs 21 crore on opening day. After delivering the monstrous hit Chennai Express, Shahrukh Khan teamed up with director Rohit Shetty again for Dilwale. Rohit Shetty focuses on a love story and true to its title, Dilwale remains a love story, not an assemblage of sequences to win and woo the spectators. Fan opening day collections soared to as much as Rs 19.20 crore and the (total gross approx) is Rs 27 crore. With worldwide figures attached, the total soars as high as Rs 31.47 crore. Ra.One (2011): Shahrukh Khan delivered yet another box office collections mega-movie in the form of Ra.One. It slots into the No. 5 slot in SRK list. The movie's opening day collection was Rs 18.50 crore – it was released on 26-Oct-2011. Ra.One was a film which boasts some of the most stunning special effects seen in an Indian movie. It also has a superhero and super villain too – a digital monster enters the world followed by a digital saviour. Shahrukh Khan as a tech wizard creates a video game in which the bad guy is the all powerful Ra.One (Rampal). And the only one who can best him is G.One. Both come 'alive' and indulge in a right royal battle with the future of the world at stake. Fan box office collections: Pushed to the 6th spot is Shahrukh Khan's Don 2 (23-Dec-2011), which recorded an opening day's take of Rs 15.23 crore. This was a remake of the Amitabh Bachchan classic Don (one of Big B's most iconic characters) and SRK definitely took a big risk in doing it. Fan box office collections: Jab Tak Hai Jaan (12-Nov-2012) has slotted itself into the 7th position having logged opening day collections of Rs 15.23 crore. It was a love story but with a twist and an excellent one at that. This was a director Yash Chopra movie all the way. It revolved around three characters who were brought out in an fine manner by script writers (Aditya Chopra and Devika Bhagat). Emotions flow through the film as the passionate love story unfolds. Fan box office collections: In the 8th spot is My Name Is Khan (12-Feb-2010) with an opening day collection of Rs 8 crore (do remember that this movie was released in 2010). My Name is Khan has the global terror attacks in background and SRK looks to surf through those troubled waters in a diplomatic way but does end up making a social statement – terror and Muslims or religion should not be equated.
