A few days after its images leaked online, the Xiaomi Mi 5c is expected to come out on December 6. AndroidPure has come out with a report, citing Chinese micro-blogging platform Weibo, about the date of the launch. The all new Mi 5c, according to leaked images, might come with a 5.5 inch full HD display along with a resolution of 1920 x 1080. The smartphone could be the cheapest smartphone by the company, as it is expected to be priced at CNY 999 that is around Rs 9,900 in India. It is expected to be around half the cost of Mi 5 which came to India at a price of Rs 24,999. KJuma shared the poster on Weibo.
If the leaked picture of Mi 5c on mydrivers is the be believed, the phone by Xiaomi is expected to feature a fingerprint scanner present at the front and a 2.5D glass at the top display. The body of the Mi 5c will have a metal frame and round edges and the camera will be present at the top left at the back and the Mi Logo will be present at the bottom. The Xiaomi Mi 5c will likely run on a 2.2 GHz octa-core processor along with a 3GB RAM and 64GB of inbuilt storage. It is possible that the Mi 5c might feature its own Pinecone SoC.

The phone will also have narrow bezels on the edges. According to leaked images on mydrivers, in the camera department, the phone will have 12-megapixel shutter at the back and 8-megapixel selfie camera. The Xiaomi latest smartphone will likely run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow along with MIUI 8. The smartphone is expected to release at an event in December.
As far as its release in India is concerned, there is no information out yet. When the company’s Mi 5 was launched in China in February 2016, it came to India after a month making it the first country out of China to see the phone. However, the Mi 5s which launched in China at a price of 1,999 Yuan did not see the light of day in India. Even Xiaomi’s Redmi Pro or the Mi Note 2 might not find their way to India. So it remains to be seen if the company brings the Mi 5c or the Mi Mix in the country, at all.
