The National Testing Agency (NTA) has published the final answer key for the Common University Entrance Test, Undergraduate (CUET UG) 2024 as of July 25. Candidates can view and download the answer key from the official CUET UG website: exams.nta.ac.in/CUET-UG.
To access the answer key, candidates must enter their application number and date of birth.

On July 23, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman made history by presenting her seventh consecutive Union Budget and the first of the Modi 3.0 government in Parliament. The Budget Session, which began on July 22, is set to run until August 12.
While the Union Budget did not include significant provisions for the middle class, it did offer support to farmers. In her budget speech on Tuesday, Sitharaman announced financial aid, as well as irrigation and rehabilitation projects, for states affected by floods, including Bihar, Assam, Sikkim, Uttarakhand, and Himachal Pradesh.

Westlife Foodworld Limited (WFL), which operates McDonald’s restaurants in West and South India, reported an 88.7% decline in fiscal first quarter profit to Rs 3.25 crore, compared to Rs 28.83 crore in the same quarter of the previous year. Revenue from operations was slightly higher at Rs 616.33 crore, up from Rs 614.54 crore in Q1 FY24. The company's EBITDA decreased by 24.5% year-over-year to Rs 78.7 crore. Despite a 0.3% increase in overall sales to Rs 616 crore, same-store sales growth fell by 6.7% due to weak in-store business, although the off-premise segment showed positive growth.

The stocks of Jindal Steel & Power dropped as much as 5.5% to an intra-day low of Rs 918.90 a day after the company reported a 21% fall in its net profit of Rs 1,337.9 crore in Q1 FY25. However, the brokerage houses are still confident in the stock as they maintain a “Buy” rating, with an increased target price.

The income tax department has said that more than 4 crore income tax returns (ITR) have been filed up to 22 July, 2024, which is less than 45% of all income taxpayers in the country who have filed for assessment year 2024-25. According to the IT department, this is 8% more compared to returns filed in the same period last year.

A section of National highway-3 has been temporarily shut down for vehicular traffic because of a cloud burst in Himachal Pradesh's Kullu district.

The Supreme Court on Thursday held that royalty payable on minerals is not a tax, overturning its 1989 decision. The court said that states have the legislative competence to impose taxes on mines and minerals-bearing lands. The Supreme Court ruled by a majority 8:1 verdict, that the Constitution’s provisions prohibit Parliament from taxing mineral rights.
In a major setback, a Delhi court on Thursday extended the judicial custody of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in money laundering and corruption cases related to the alleged excise scam till August 8.

Tata Motors' share price surged 5.65% to a record high of ₹1,084.90 per share on the NSE during Thursday’s trading session. This jump followed the Japanese brokerage firm Nomura upgrading Tata Motors Ltd. from a ‘Neutral’ to a ‘Buy’ rating.

A stretch of the National Highway-3 was closed for vehicular traffic following a flash flood triggered by a cloudburst in Himachal's Kullu district, police said on Thursday.
No casualty has so far been reported in the incident that occurred late Wednesday, they said.
According to officials, the stretch between Dhundi and Palchan Bridge on NH-3, also known as Leh-Manali Road, was affected due to the cloudburst at Anjani Mahadev nullah in the Manali area. (PTI)
