Jat reservation: As the Jat agitation for quota continued, some unidentified persons set on fire the Budha Khera Railway Station in this district on Saturday.

Furniture, record room and other articles were set on fire at the railway station, which falls on the Jind-Panipat rail section, police said.

Jind is among the districts worst-hit by the ongoing Jat stir.

The Northern Railways on Friday decided to cancel over 100 trains passing Haryana and other regions affected by the agitation of Jat protesters. A number of trains were also either partially cancelled or their routes diverted. Major trains cancelled from February 19 to 21 are New Delhi-Chandigarh Shatabdi, New Delhi-Ludhiana Shatabdi, New Delhi-Amritsar Shatabdi and New Delhi-Una Jan Shatabdi.
