Today, October 31, about a dozen major listed companies in India disclosed their financial results for the second quarter of FY26. Today’s results highlight Vedanta’s massive 38 per cent profit decline to ACC Cement’s 460 per cent profit growth.
While Maruti Suzuki’s domestic sales and margins plunged this quarter, the public sector company BEL saw 25 per cent revenue growth.
Below is a quick look at the Q2 results of the major companies that announced their earnings today-
Godrej Consumer Q2 results
Godrej Consumer Products reported a 6.5 per cent profit decline in the second quarter of fiscal year 2025-26. The consumer goods company posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 459 crore in Q2 FY26. Godrej Consumer’s net profit in Q2 FY25 was at Rs 491 crore.
Furthermore, Godrej Consumer reported a 4.33 per cent YoY revenue growth in the quarter. The company reported Rs 3,825 crore consolidated revenue from operations in Q2 FY26. In the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year, the FMCG major’s consolidated revenue was Rs 3,666 crore.
Bharat Petroleum Q2 results
Bharat Petroleum Corporation (BPCL) reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 6,191.49 crore in Q2FY26, up 169.52% from Rs 2,297.23 crore in the year-ago period. However, it saw a decline of 9.47% on a quarter-on-quarter (QoQ) basis.
India’s leading oil and gas company reported revenue from operations at Rs 1,21,604.70 crore, up 3.10% year-on-year (YoY) from Rs 1,17,948.75 crore. However, it was down 6.18% from Rs 1,29,614.69 crore in Q1FY26.
Vedanta Q2 results
Vedanta reported a significant 38 per cent YoY profit decline in the second quarter of the financial year 2025-26. The mining major’s consolidated profit in Q2 FY26 fell to Rs 3,479 crore, compared to Rs 5,603 crore in Q2 FY25.
Further, Vedanta’s revenue from operations grew by a modest 6 per cent in the quarter. The company posted Rs 39,218 crore consolidated revenue from operations in Q2 FY26. In the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year, Vedanta’s consolidated revenue was at Rs 37,171 crore.
Shriram Finance Q2 results
Shriram Finance reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 2,314.16 crore in Q2FY26, up 7.47% year-on-year (YoY) from Rs 2,153.27 crore in Q2FY25.
On a standalone front, net profit rises 11.39% YoY to Rs 2,307.18 crore, from Rs 2,071.26 crore in Q2FY25. On a sequential basis, the company’s profit rose 7.03% from Rs 2,155.73 crore in Q1FY26.
Net interest income stood at Rs 11,550.56 crore, up 17.69% from Rs 9,814.50 crore a year ago.
Maruti Suzuki Q2 results
Maruti Suzuki posted a 7.95 per cent profit growth in the second quarter of fiscal year 2025-26. The automaker reported a consolidated profit of Rs 3,349 crore in Q2 FY26. The company’s consolidated profit in Q2 FY25 was at Rs 3,102.5 crore.
Further, Maruti Suzuki reported a 13 per cent revenue growth in the quarter. The company’s consolidated revenue in Q2 FY26 stood at Rs 42,344.2 crore. In the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year, the company’s revenue was Rs 37,449.2 crore.
ACC Cement Q2 results
ACC Cement posted a 460 per cent YoY profit growth in the second quarter of fiscal year 2025-26. The Adani Group reported a consolidated profit after tax (PAT) of Rs 1,119 crore in Q2 FY26. The company’s consolidated PAT in Q2 FY26 was at Rs 199.7 crore.
Furthermore, ACC Cement’s revenue from operations grew 29.8 per cent on a yearly basis in the second quarter. The cement major’s revenue from operations in Q2 FY26 stood at Rs 5,896 crore. In the corresponding quarter of last fiscal year, its revenue from operations stood at Rs 4,542 crore.
BEL Q2 results
Bharat Electronics (BEL) reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 1,287.16 crore in Q2FY26, up 17.79% from Rs 1,092.78 crore in the year-ago period. Revenue from operations stood at Rs 5,792.09 crore, compared to Rs 4,604.9 crore in Q2FY25.
On a standalone basis, the net profit increased 17.86% to Rs 1,286.13 crore from Rs 1,091.27 crore in the same quarter of the previous year. Revenue came in at Rs 5,763.65 crore, up 25.75% from Rs 4,583.41 crore in Q2FY25.
GAIL India Q2 results
State-owned gas utility GAIL (India) Ltd on Friday reported an 18 per cent drop in September quarter net profit as petrochemical margins came under pressure in a quarter with flattish volumes.
Standalone net profit of Rs 2,823.19 crore in the July-September period — the second quarter of the 2025-26 fiscal year — compared with Rs 3,453.12 crore earnings in the same period last year, according to a stock exchange filing by the company.
Mphasis Q2 results
IT solutions provider Mphasis reported a 10.79% increase in its consolidated net profit to Rs 469 crore for Q2FY26. This is compared to the company’s Q2FY25 net profit of Rs 423.3 crore in the year-ago period.
The Bengaluru-headquartered company’s revenue from operations rose 10.34% YoY in Q2FY26 to Rs 3,901.91 crore from Rs 3,536.14 crore in Q2 FY25.
