MegaCabs, a leading airport taxi operator has launched its first fleet of electric vehicles (EVs) in Delhi. This move it says is part of its commitment to sustainable transportation, offering eco-conscious and reliable options to customers. To start with the cab operator will deploy 100 EVs and aims to induct 300 green vehicles by the end of this financial year.
Tarun Arora, CCO-Non-Aero, Delhi International Airport said, “Delhi airport is on a mission to be a net zero carbon emission facility by 2030 and the launch of MegaCabs EV fleet is a significant step in that direction. DIAL has already electrified much of its transportation services and is on schedule to transition to zero-emission vehicles in and around the airport in the next 5-6 years. We have been in conversation with all stakeholders to achieve carbon neutrality at India’s largest airport.”

MegaCab has completed more than 30 million rides with more than 10 million customers. At present, it operates in Delhi, Bengaluru and Goa. It has an ambitious plan to extend its services to 5 more major Indian airports by 2024.
