IndiGo has cancelled more than 90 flights scheduled for Monday. The cancellations are primarily due to forecasted bad weather at key airports across the country, along with a few operational and airport restriction-related reasons, according to the data accessed from the airline’s official website.

IndiGo flights from Delhi airport saw the hardest hit, with a significant number of departures and arrivals affected. Several flights from Delhi to cities like Bengaluru (BLR), Chennai (MAA), Ahmedabad (AMD), Jaipur (JAI), Patna (PAT), Nagpur (NAG), Bhopal (BHO), Durgapur (DGH), Gauhati (GAU) and others were cancelled due to forecasted bad weather or its consequential impact on operations. Similarly, return flights to Delhi from these cities were also impacted.

Additionally, major airlines including IndiGo, Air India and SpiceJet have issued travel advisories as dense fog and low visibility conditions continue to disrupt air traffic across several parts of North India.

IndiGo issues weather advisory

IndiGo warned passengers that heavy fog over Chandigarh may affect flight schedules on Monday. The airline said it is “closely monitoring the weather” and assured that teams are working to ensure passengers reach their destinations “safely and smoothly.”

Travellers have been advised to keep checking the latest updates. “We request that you stay updated on your flight status via our website or app. Please be assured that our teams are here to assist you at every step and provide full support.

Air India issues travel advisory for northern India

Air India also released a late-night advisory on Sunday, cautioning that fog is expected to bring down visibility across northern India on Monday, including Delhi, which may impact flight schedules throughout its network. “We understand how important your travel plans are and have proactively taken initiatives to minimise inconvenience due to any disruption,” the airline said. It added that ground teams are prepared to assist passengers in case of delays, diversions or cancellations.

SpiceJet issued a wider alert, warning of possible disruptions due to poor visibility in more than 20 cities, including Delhi, Amritsar, Jaipur, Srinagar, Jammu, Leh, Dharamshala, Varanasi, Ayodhya, Patna, Guwahati, Kolkata, Hyderabad and Udaipur. The airline said all departures, arrivals and their consequential flights “might get affected” and urged passengers to keep checking their flight status before heading to the airport.

“All departures/arrivals and their consequential flights might get affected. Passengers are requested to keep a check on their flight status,” SpiceJet said in its advisory.
