Donald Trump birthday: Hindu Sena on Wednesday celebrated US President Donald Trump’s 71th birthday at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi. As per a report by Republic TV, the outfit which calls itself an independent non-profit organisation for Hindu causes, can be seen cutting a cake and posing in front of a huge banner of Trump. The event began with a ‘raj tilak’ ceremony followed by cutting of a cake which weighed around 7 kgs. The group terms the billionaire US president as the ‘Saviour of Humanity’.

Speaking to Indian Express, The Hindu Sena chief Vishnu Gupta said, “Donald Trump is my hero; we will celebrate his birthday with much fanfare and pray for his long life. A cake weighing 7 kg and 100 grams will be cut in the function signifying his 71st birthday.” Gupta further informed that the event will also have a photo exhibition of Trump since his childhood.

The group had initiated a massive campaign on social media to promote today’s event. Gupta even took to Twitter and posted an open invitation. He wrote: “I’d like to invite you all for Birthday Celebration of our beloved Mr. @realDonaldTrump President of #USA & Saviour of Humanity on 14/06/17.”

This is not the first time that the group had celebrated Trump’s birthday on such a large scale. Even last year, it held a ‘havan’, again at Jantar Mantar, praying for Donald Trump’s victory in the then upcoming United States presidential election. The group, in November last year, celebrated the Trump’s victory over his Democratic rival Hillary Clinton.

Later in his conversation with IE, Gupta also spoke about the upcoming Narendra Modi-Donald Trump meeting scheduled in the White House. He said that many are carrying big hopes about what will emerge from the meeting, including him. “I have lot of hopes from the Modi-Trump meeting. I am sure both the nations will benefit from the meeting,” Gupta said.
