On January 9, the quarterly earnings of companies such as TCS, GTPL Hathway, IREDA, Mishka Exim, Padam Cotton Yarns, Tata Elxsi, Teamo Productions HQ, Vivo Bio Tech, Yash Highvoltage, and Annvrridhhi Ventures are scheduled to be announced.

Tata Motors
Tata Motors’ subsidiary Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) reported a nuanced performance this quarter. Wholesale volumes grew by 3% YoY to 1,04,427 units, rebounding from supply chain disruptions, while retail sales dipped by 3% YoY to 1,06,334 units. However, sequential growth in wholesales showed a robust 20% surge compared to Q2 FY25. Flagship models like the Range Rover (+22%), Range Rover Sport (+17%), and Defender (+13%) led the charge, accounting for a 70% mix in wholesale volumes.

NTPC Green Energy
NTPC Green Energy has formed a new joint venture with Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited, holding a 74:26 partnership. The subsidiary aims to develop and manage renewable energy parks in Rajasthan and explore green hydrogen projects.
Hindalco
Novelis Inc, the US-based subsidiary of Hindalco, announced a $500 million offering of senior unsecured notes due 2030. The funds will primarily repay $491 million of outstanding borrowings under its revolving credit facility, with any remaining amount allocated for general corporate needs.
Zee Media
Zee Media’s board will convene on January 13 to consider raising funds through equity shares or other financial instruments in multiple phases.
Manappuram Finance
The Reserve Bank of India lifted supervisory restrictions on Asirvad Microfinance, the microlending arm of Manappuram Finance. Previously, the restrictions had prevented the company from disbursing loans starting October 2024.
BHEL
Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) successfully commissioned the first two units of the 6×170 MW Punatsangchhu-II hydroelectric project in Bhutan. This greenfield project, located in Wangdue district, is a product of bilateral cooperation between India and Bhutan.

MOIL, India’s state-owned manganese mining company, was slapped with a ₹16.77 crore penalty by the Balaghat Collector. “This is to inform that the Company has received an order dated 03.01.2025, from the Collector of Balaghat imposing penalty of Rs.16,77,08,724.88 in respect of excess production in Tirodi Mine beyond Environmental Clearance(EC)/consent to operate (CTO) during the years1993-94 to 1995-96 and 2006-2007 to 2008-09 as per the order passed in Writ Petition (Civil), No. 114 of 2014 (Common Cause vs. Union of India & Others) dated 02.08.2017 and published in official gazette on 23.11.2017,” the company said through an exchange filing on January 8.
