IT major LTIMindtree has bagged what it calls its largest strategic deal so far. The agreement with a global media and entertainment giant strengthens an old partnership. Under this long-term deal, LTIMindtree will handle the client’s digital transformation projects.

Telecom update – Jio gains, Vodafone Idea slips

India’s telecom base saw a mild uptick in August 2025, led once again by Reliance Jio. According to TRAI data, Jio added 19.5 lakh new users, up sharply from 4.83 lakh in July. Bharti Airtel added about 4.96 lakh subscribers.

Vodafone Idea, meanwhile, continued to lose users, shedding another 3.1 lakh in August.

Brigade Enterprises

Real estate developer Brigade Enterprises has signed a joint development agreement (JDA) for a 6.6-acre plot in West Chennai. The upcoming residential project has a gross development value of around Rs 1,000 crore.

Located along a key arterial corridor, the site offers strong connectivity to industrial and business hubs in the region.

Bank of India

Bank of India posted 11.8% year-on-year rise in global business for the September quarter, reaching Rs 15.61 lakh crore. Deposits rose 10.08% to Rs 8.53 lakh crore, while advances climbed nearly 14% to Rs 7.08 lakh crore.

Dilip Buildcon

Infrastructure firm Dilip Buildcon, through its JV DBL-APMPL, has received a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) to develop a 100 MW solar power project in Madhya Pradesh. The power will be supplied to Madhya Pradesh Jal Nigam (MPJNM) under a 25-year captive supply contract.

HCLTech

HCLTech has joined hands with the MIT Media Lab to work on next-generation AI and quantum computing research. The collaboration connects the Indian IT firm with one of the world’s leading innovation ecosystems at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

Zydus Lifesciences

Zydus Lifesciences has received Health Canada approval for its Liothyronine tablets in 5 mcg and 25 mcg strengths. The product, used for treating hypothyroidism, will be made at the company’s Ahmedabad SEZ facility.
