Several big names in the market made headlines with key earnings, restructuring updates, and expansion moves. From TCS’ big AI push to Tata Motors’ business overhaul and NTPC’s massive green energy deal – here’s a look at stocks that are likely to be in focus today.

Indian equity markets ended on a positive note on October 9, with benchmark indices extending their gains. The Nifty surged 135.65 points or 0.54% to close at 25,181.80, while the Sensex climbed 398.44 points or 0.49% to settle at 82,172.10.

Stocks to watch on October 10, 2025

TCS

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) kicked off the earnings season with better than estimate numbers for the September quarter. The IT giant posted a net profit of Rs 12,075 crore, while revenue came in at Rs 65,799 crore, just shy of street expectations. Operating profit stood at Rs 16,565 crore, translating to an EBIT margin of 25.2%, and constant currency revenue rose 0.8% sequentially.

But beyond the numbers, TCS said that it is doubling down on artificial intelligence. The company announced plans to build a 1 GW AI data centre in India and revealed the acquisition of ListEngage, aimed at strengthening its Salesforce ecosystem.

Tata Motors

Tata Motors has successfully implemented its long-awaited demerger plan. Effective October 1, 2025, the company’s commercial vehicle business has been moved into a separate entity – TML Commercial Vehicles Ltd (TMLCV). Meanwhile, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd (TMPV) has been merged back into the parent company.

The record date for shareholders is set for October 14, when each investor will receive one TMLCV share (face value Rs 2) for every Tata Motors share held.

NTPC Green Energy

NTPC Green Energy, through its subsidiary NTPC Renewable Energy, signed a major agreement with the Government of Gujarat to develop 15 GW of renewable projects including 10 GW solar and 5 GW wind capacity.

The MoU, inked during the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference in Mehsana, highlights NTPC’s accelerating transition toward cleaner energy.

Tata Elxsi

Design and technology major Tata Elxsi continued its stable performance streak. For Q2, the company posted a net profit of Rs 154.8 crore, up 7.2% quarter-on-quarter, with revenue rising 2.9% to Rs 918.1 crore.

EBIT climbed 4.7% to Rs 169.9 crore, while margins inched up to 18.5% from 18.2% in the previous quarter.

ICICI Prudential Life

ICICI Prudential Life Insurance reported new business premium of Rs 1,761 crore

This marks a 6.1% year-on-year increase, while Annualised Premium Equivalent (APE) stood at Rs 871 crore, up from Rs 722 crore in the previous month but down 1.1% YoY.

RailTel

RailTel Corporation of India has received a Letter of Intent from the Centre for E-Governance, Karnataka, to provide OEM support for KSWAN 2.0 network equipment.

The Rs 18.22 crore order is scheduled for completion by November 8, 2025.

Lloyds Engineering

Lloyds Engineering Works announced a tie-up with FlyFocus to co-develop and manufacture the Defender SIGINT UAV, an advanced surveillance and intelligence drone platform.
