PM Narendra Modi’s cavalcade under threat of attack with rocket launchers, explosives: ASP, RK Singh

Mau ASP RK Singh confirmed on Sunday evening that an attack was being planned on Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his visit to the town. RK said that the local police received information of life threat to Prime Minister during his Mau visit from Rasool Pati who was accused in the murder case of Haren Pandya. Reportedly, Rasool Pati along with his associates was planning to attack Pm Narendra Modi’s cavalcade with rocket launcher/vans with explosives. After getting the information PM Modi’s security has been enhanced.

Rasool Pati is one of the accused in the murder case of Gujarat’s former Home Minister Haren Pandya who was killed in 2003 when he was sitting in his car after his morning walk in the Law Garden area in Ahmedabad. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is currently promoting Bharatiya Janata Party for the Uttar Pradesh Assembly election and is in Mau for the same. BJp is trying to fight the newly formed alliance between Samajwadi Party and Congress in the state.

Earlier in the day, Modi addressed the nation in his 29th episode of ‘Mann Ki Baat’ in radio today at 11 am. While PM Modi’s last episode focused on students and the pressure of board examinations, this time he talked about a variety of topics ranging from women empowerment to digital economy, with a special emphasis on ISRO’s historic moment of sending 104 satellites in space. He praised the Indian scientists for the huge achievement and said that this move will help Indians a lot, especially the farmers. “After the successful mission of sending Mangalyaan to Mars, recently ISRO achieved a world record in the arena of space. India created history by becoming the first country to launch successfully 104 satellites into space at one go. Particularly, for my farmer brothers and sisters, our new Satellite Cartosat 2D will be immensely helpful. It is a proud moment that this team was led by youngsters and women,” PM Modi added.
