Director General of the State Police Sudhir Yadav said that women in the police force help vulnerable sections of the society to voice their grievances without fear.

He said that their presence at help desks was meant to address problems related to women, and this has paid rich dividends in the past.

He further acknowledged the role played by women in the police force in giving counselling and helping reconciliation in the societies and families.
