Scores of residents of the national capital suffered due to the heavy rains which caused water-logging on major roads and crippled movement of traffic across the city today. Some residents, including cricketer Gautam Gambhir, equated the city to a ‘sinking capital, and some were suprised to find out that there was no tweet on their woes by Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, who often remains active on the micro-blogging site.

It is not the that the CM was not active on Twitter at all. Since early in the morning today, Kejriwal retweeted a number of posts damning the so called interference of Narendra Modi-led Central government in the affairs of Delhi government via Delhi L-G Najeeb Jung. However, there was no word from him on the rain-water problem in the city, which some residents couldn’t take lightly. Here are what some of them tweeted.

PTI reported that major water-logged points in the city today included Ring Road Dhaula Kuan, Bhairon Marg towards Mathura Road and the Teen Murti roundabout among others. The weather office has forecast thunderstorm with rain through the day. The city received 3.9 mm of rainfall in the last 24 hours, an official said. The maximum temperature will be around 32 degrees Celsius.

Why no one expects anything to be done by Jung & Rajnath and Central govt, who put spokes in everything being done by AK.
