In a major impact after the announcement of the demonetisation policy by the Narendra Modi government, a businessman from Surat had today surrendered Rs 6,000 crore, all in cash, to the government. Citing rise in the circulation of black money in the country, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on November 8, had initiated the demonetisation policy, following which currency notes of the denomination Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 had been banned and replaced with new currency notes.

The Surat-based diamond merchant, reportedly known as Laljibhai Patel, surrendered the huge amount of cash to the government within days of the demonetisation policy of the Modi-government came into effect. However, the actual reason behind the surrender is yet unknown.

Known for his charitable and philanthropy works, Patel had, earlier this year, donated an amount of Rs 200 crore for the purpose of girl child education in the country. The diamond merchant had also been known to have gifted cars and flats to his employees during Diwali.

The initiation of the demonetisation policy by the government had been a pain for the common prople, with many standing on long lines outside banks and ATMs, to save their currency notes from turning into useless pieces if paper. Though the actual impact of the policy is yet to be evident, the huge amount of cash surrender by the businessman came as the biggest development after the implication of the note-ban policy.

STUPIDITY. No one would actually surrender even 1 cr let alone 6000 cr. People know "demonization" wasn't really getting much praise other than at start as it affected many people in later days. I was praising too and seeing how much of a problem it is. Now they just pulled off this stunt of someone actually "surrendering" or getting "caught" to show people that its actually working. Yeah right...

First surgical strike on terrorists activity, next on black money, finally he may target political surgical strike by the way of repaying back to people through this money which was deposited through demonetisation and also through Swiss Bank deposits to public before the election in their accounts as promised Rs 15 Lakes to each family. Then No other party can win election in coming 100years in India other than. BJP PARTY. HATS OFF TO MODIJI,WE SALUTE YOU AND WE ARE READY TO SUPPORT YOU FOR ALL GOOD THING THAT YOU TAKE UP TO MAKE INDIA CLEAN.

People must co-operative , its moral responsibility being citizen of India, in view of action initiative by PM MODI in improving terrorism fanned in Kashmir by stan's proxy war using fake Indian currency __impact is that after 8th Nov 2016, ban imposed on 500/1000 notes stoning of security forces by Kashmiri stopped. Its everyone one's moral duty if anyone have these currencies notes, don't destroy but simply hand over to bank or charity or old age homes so that Govt., can be converted and its value remains. Everyone must morally support MODI Jee in fighting terrorism just like Indian army fighting with stan at border and ours duty to fight with black money ders inside the country just like soldiers fulfill its responsibility. Hopefully peoples from UP, PUNJAB & ors coming poll going to be held have golden chances to teach these politicians making hue and cry against ban imposed by MODI Govt in single stroke big blow to terrorism in Kashmir and country flooded with currencies ded by these politicians becomes void which was to be used in coming election in UP and PUNJAB by Congress, AAP ,SP, BSP, CPI &ors finding no place but will raise drama against Govt.
