Conservative influencer and pardoned January 6 rioter Jake Lang was attacked by civilians on Sunday while leading a pro-ICE agitation in Minnesota. Hundreds of counter-protesters came together in Minneapolis to drown out the far-right rally in support of the Donald Trump administration. Visuals from the area show the angry mob descending upon Lang — with varying accounts of his injuries circulating online.

Protests have raged across Democrat-run Minnesota over the past month — taking a significantly violent turn following the death of Renee Good on January 7. Thousands of gun-toting federal officials now roam the streets in tactical gear while protesters raise vehement objections and clash with officials.

‘I was just literally lynched’

Lang had organised an anti-Islam, anti-Somali and pro-ICE demonstration in the city. He also announced plans to “burn a Quran” on the steps of City Hall via social media before the protest. It was not immediately clear whether he had managed to execute his plan. According to reports, only a small number of people had shown up for his agitation — quickly drowned out by counter-protesters who chased them away. Lang appeared to be injured as he left the scene, with bruises and scrapes on his head.

“I just got stabbed by a crazie white commie leftist rioter today in Minnesota…I was just literally lynched by an anti-white mob of liberals & illegal immigrants- I’m at the hospital now getting staples in my skull.. Nearly ripped limb from limb in Minneapolis!” he shared via X.

Who is Jake Lang?

Lang had first gained notoriety after joining other Trump supporters to storm the Capitol after his 2020 election defeat. He was charged with assaulting an officer with a baseball bat, civil disorder and other crimes for his efforts — but received clemency as part of a sweeping pardon from the President  last year. He has since emeged as a conservative influencer with tens of thousands of followers. Lang recently announced that he is running for the US Senate from Florida.
