Swiggy
Swiggy has decided to sell its stake in Rapido, the bike-taxi operator, through two separate transactions. Shares worth Rs 1,968 crore will go to MIH Investments, a Dutch firm, while another tranche valued at Rs 431 crore will be sold to Setu AIF Trust.
Infosys
Infosys is expanding its long-term collaboration with Sunrise, Switzerland’s second-largest telecom company. The IT firm will support digital transformation initiatives, modernising technology infrastructure and improving operational agility.
HCLTech
HCLTech has renewed a multi-year contract with a major Swedish manufacturer of trucks, buses, and construction equipment. The scope of work has been expanded to include modernisation of IT infrastructure and digital transformation services.
Bajaj Electricals
Bajaj Electricals will acquire the Morphy Richards brand and associated intellectual property from Ireland’s Glen Electric for Rs 146 crore. The rights cover India, Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Maldives, and Sri Lanka.
Dilip Buildcon
Dilip Buildcon has emerged as the lowest bidder for a Rs 1,115 crore industrial corridor project in Kerala. The project covers design, construction, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of infrastructure works at Pudussery Central and Kannambra in Palakkad.
Torrent Power
Torrent Power has acquired shares in Newzone India Private Limited and Newzone Power Projects Private Limited for Rs 211 crore. The transaction gives Torrent Power effective ownership of both companies, consolidating its presence in the renewable and conventional power sectors.
Karur Vysya Bank
Karur Vysya Bank has filed writ petitions at the Madurai Bench of the Madras High Court. The petitions contest reassessment notices under Section 148 and orders under Section 148A(3) for the assessment years 2020-21, 2021-22, and 2022-23.
Torrent Pharma
Torrent Pharmaceuticals has received approval from the Competition Commission of South Africa to acquire a controlling stake in JB Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals from KKR.
Gandhar Oil
Gandhar Oil Refinery (India) has decided to exit its overseas joint venture, Texol Oils FZC, set up in the Hamriyah Free Zone, Sharjah. The company will terminate all existing licenses and its agreement with partner ESPE Oils FZC. Gandhar Oil holds 50% in the venture, which will now be closed and wound up.
