Career Mosaic, an international student enrollment company, has announced a strategic partnership with 10 United States (US) based universities to establish teams in India for in-country representation and operations. These teams aim to offer comprehensive support to aspiring students, guiding them toward academic excellence and career advancement, according to an official release.
The US remains a leading destination for Indian students seeking global education, boasting world-class universities and diverse academic programmes. Indian students show a strong preference for STEM, Health Science, Management, Designing, and Business Administration courses, aligning well with global trends and workforce demands, the release mentioned.
The participating universities in this initiative are San Jose State University, University of North Texas, Central Michigan University, Bowling Green State University, Middle Tennessee State University, University of Massachusetts Lowell, Bradley University, Webster University and The University of Tulsa. Career Mosaic’s in-country representatives will serve as intermediaries between the universities and Indian students, facilitating a smooth transition into their international education journey, as per the release.
“This collaboration aligns with our commitment to providing comprehensive support and guidance, making overseas education more accessible and rewarding for India’s younger demographic,” Manisha Zaveri, co-founder and Jt. managing director, Career Mosaic, said.
Approximately 75% of US-bound student applications originate from the Andhra Pradesh/Telangana region, with Gujarat contributing around 6%. Other significant contributors include Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, and Karnataka. The top states favored by Indian students in the US are California, Texas, New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Illinois and Missouri, it added.
While two-thirds of international students from the South Asia sub-continent studying in the U.S. applied from large metro areas, fully one-third of students applied from non-metro locations. Partnering with Career Mosaic has helped the University of North Texas (UNT) broaden its reach across India and into Bangladesh and Sri Lanka,” Pieter Vermeulen, senior director, International Recruitment, University of North Texas, said.
