A fire erupted at the Kashmiri Gate Metro police station in north Delhi around midnight on Saturday (June 1). According to the officials, the Delhi Fire Services (DFS) received a call about the blaze at 12:45 am and promptly dispatched 12 fire tenders to the scene.
The DFS official further stated that there were no injuries in the accident, however a portion of the police station got damaged. This includes malkhana, where the case properties in the police station are kept. The Kashmere Gate Metro police station also houses the office of the Deputy Commissioner of Metro.
In about an hour and a half, the fire was controlled. The cooling operation is underway. The cause of the fire remains unknown and will be investigated.
